Tea Rose, looking pretty from above

This is a subtle, long sipping drink for a hot day, maybe a lawn party if you are that sophisticated. Hahaha!

We created this drink especially for Maya from Faraaz Tea. It uses their Rose Bud tea, which has a delicate perfume. The spirit and mixer are deliberately light in flavour to let the rose aroma shine.

Faraaz Teas can be purchased online here.

Recipients: Light drinkers

Type: Mix In Glass

EQUIPMENT

Tall glass or champagne flute

INGREDIENTS

90ml brewed and chilled Rose Bud tea*

30ml Bacardi or other white rum

30ml lemonade

METHOD

Pour all ingredients into your tall glass and stir to combine.

Garnish with rose buds from the tea.

ADJUST

Add more lemonade if you want it sweeter. We left ours at 30ml so we didn’t overpower the flavour of the tea.

SERVE

Serve it in the glass you made it in.

OPTIONAL

Ice is optional. I’d judge it on the capacity of your glass and the heat of the day. As our aim is a mild, aromatic drink, dilution from melting ice doesn’t much affect the end result.

*We used one tablespoon of Rose Bud Tea per 250ml of recently boiled water.
