Get Involved

Cocktails For Mums began as a blog to keep track of recipes that work and this will remain our core activity.

However, after a year of inventing, testing and tasting, a stack of people asked to be involved. To our surprise and joy, we now have a community with a bit of a purpose. This purpose may change as our community develops, but here are our current values.

THE AIM OF OUR COMMUNITY
You know how women don’t always have the time to do things for themselves because they put everything and everyone else first?

We aim to encourage, provide opportunities and make it easy for us all to get out or stay in, but ultimately, have a good time.

To regard fun as an aim might sound flimsy. But, hear me out then judge as you see fit. So far, the women we’ve spoken to feel more weary and less like their bubbly former selves. We all need the giggles, merriment and mischief that is a different flavour of pleasure we receive from partners, pets, children and a job well done.

Enjoyable moments remind us how to love life. The person we are when we enjoy life is who we really are. We share our real selves when we share fun. And that’s a community.

We call our community the Cocktail Cartel. Thanks for the name, Alicia Walker!

WANT TO BECOME PART OF THE COCKTAIL CARTEL?
By joining the Cocktail Cartel, you will receive exclusive content that isn’t permanently displayed here on the Cocktails For Mum’s website. This might take the form of recipes to try. Or you may receive invitations to our events. We might invite you to enter a competition. And from time to time we will grant access to articles and guides that won’t be available to the public, yet or ever.

In exchange, we ask that you participate in our community. You can do this by:

– providing feedback to recipes
– emailing your own recipe inventions for us to test
– filling out our surveys
– entering our competitions

You can also invite your friends to join, if you think they’ll want to be involved. You know your friends. We trust you.

If you feel like contacting any of us, please email us here.

We don’t think being involved is too much to ask. As such, we might remove people who do not participate. Yes, this seems harsh, however a community thrives on communication. We’ll starve without it. And we want to get to know you and like you.
