Vodka Cocktail – I Love Loosey is ready for her close up

This is our cherry flavoured vodka cocktail homage to Lucille Ball. Lucy was the original cocktail mum who fudged her way through household and relationship management, paving the way for the rest of us to be true to our goofy natures. In life, Lucille Ball was the creative genius we have to be to pull off being a modern woman.

Loosey looks and tastes like a proper cocktail but she’s only 30ml of alcohol so you won’t get too loosey.

Recipients: Fruit fans. And those that like to sip their drinks slowly while looking suave.

Type: Made In Glass

EQUIPMENT

Small tumbler like a scotch glass

INGREDIENTS

30ml vodka

4-6 frozen cherries

10ml blackcurrant cordial, like Ribena

2.5ml vanilla extract

Ice

METHOD

Put frozen cherries in the bottom of your glass.

Pour vodka, blackcurrant cordial and vanilla extract into your glass. Stir.

Top with a good scoop of crushed ice.

SERVE

Serve it in the glass you made it in.

Garnish with a lime slice, if you like. We don’t bother, most of the time. Hahaha!

ANECDOTE

I Love Loosey was tested by a group of ladies at our first Cocktails For Mums get together. We also asked them to suggest names, some of which were awesome, like Black Satin, Cherry Bomb, Pop My Cherry, Abadi and Sweet Cossack. We left the decision up to social media and I Love Loosey, as suggested by Adele, was voted in with likes!
