Crazy Bull
The Crazy Bull is everything in a glass. It’s our Spanish Licor 43 cocktail that is rich in colour, texture, sweet, sour and punchy!
This Licor 43 cocktail named for Miguel Maestre, Australia’s ball of fire in the shape of a chef. His excitement is contagious and so is his drink. Miguel is a favourite with mums because his recipes are doable and he reminds us of our sons.
We created this to be layered in red and yellow to resemble the Spanish flag. And includes that popular vanilla liqueur from Spain, Licor 43. The Crazy Bull is an absolute tribute to a Licor 43 cocktail.
Recipients: Guests who love fun drinks and those who like to drink with their eyes, first.
Type: Made in the glass
INGREDIENTS
30ml Licor 43
20ml cranberry juice
Crushed ice
15ml lemon juice
30ml bourbon
METHOD
1. Get out a cocktail or martini glass.
2. Pour 30ml Licor 43 into the bottom of your glass.
3. Carefully layer 20ml of cranberry juice over the top of the Licor 43. I usually pour it down the side of the glass, slowly.
4. Spoon crushed ice over the top of the cranberry juice.
5. Sprinkle the lemon juice over the crushed ice.
6. Carefully float 30ml of bourbon over the lemon juice and crushed ice.
NOTES
I’ve included crushed ice as an ingredient because its position in the order helps to keep the layers separate.
Serve the Crazy Bull to your guests as a layered drink but you should stir it before drinking. Hehe!
